Did anyone know that there was such thing as "African-American English"? Yeah... Another language to justify improper grammar. I would like to say right off the bat that I am not smashing on African-American AT ALL right now... I am smashing on this idea.
A sentence like, "I be angry" would be 'ungrammatical in Standard English but is perfectly correct in AAE.' According to my school book...
No freaking way. This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard! I understand how in other cultures there are other dialects but the differences are not in the the grammar but in the words... this is just poor grammar. That is all. Not a different way of speaking, but the wrong way of speaking.
I am surprisingly frustrate about this haha
I think it puts a bad rep on African-Americans anyway, if a white person were to say "I seen you there" someone could easily say, 'you sound like you are speaking African-American English'
It is all English! Speak it the right way!!
AH!
